By accessing and using the services provided by Guide Legacy Security ("Company," "we," "our," or "us"), you ("Customer," "you," or "your") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.

2. Description of Services

Guide Legacy Security provides professional security solutions including:

  • Video surveillance systems installation and maintenance
  • Access control systems
  • Alarm systems and monitoring
  • Security consulting services
  • 24/7 monitoring services

3. Service Agreement

Specific terms for security services will be outlined in separate service agreements. These Terms of Service apply to all interactions with our company and supplement any specific service agreements.

4. Payment and Billing

Payment Terms

  • Payment is due according to the terms specified in your service agreement
  • Late payments may incur additional fees
  • We reserve the right to suspend services for non-payment

Pricing

All prices are in Canadian dollars and subject to applicable taxes. Prices may change with 30 days' notice for ongoing services.

5. Installation and Equipment

Installation Services

  • Installation will be performed by certified technicians
  • Customer must provide reasonable access to installation areas
  • Any delays caused by customer may result in additional charges

Equipment

  • Equipment remains the property of Guide Legacy Security unless purchased
  • Customer is responsible for equipment care and protection
  • Damage or loss may result in replacement charges

6. Monitoring Services

For customers with monitoring services:

  • We provide 24/7 professional monitoring
  • Response procedures will be established during setup
  • We are not responsible for false alarms or user error
  • Monitoring services require active communication lines

7. Customer Responsibilities

The Customer agrees to:

  • Provide accurate information for service delivery
  • Maintain equipment in good condition
  • Follow operating procedures and training provided
  • Notify us immediately of any system issues
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

8. Privacy and Data Protection

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

  • Our security systems are deterrent devices and do not guarantee prevention of crime
  • We are not liable for losses, damages, or injuries that may occur
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for services in the preceding 12 months
  • We are not responsible for system failures due to power outages, communication failures, or acts of nature

10. Warranty

Equipment Warranty

Equipment is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for the period specified by the manufacturer.

Service Warranty

We warrant that services will be performed in a professional manner consistent with industry standards.

11. Termination

By Customer

You may terminate services with written notice as specified in your service agreement.

By Company

We may terminate services for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or other reasonable cause with appropriate notice.

12. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property related to our services, including software, documentation, and proprietary systems, remains our property. You receive a limited license to use these materials solely in connection with our services.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective upon posting on our website. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified Terms.
